 Cleaning? Water, Substrate?

im pretty new to aquatic turtles. ive heard to change two cups of water every week, and do a complete water change every two weeks. is this accurate? and how do you clean the substrate? im using like larger gravel/rocks.

Id definatly invest in an IN_ TANK filter system. They are only around $10.00 and will save you alot of time, but also promote healthy turts. Change 1/3 of the water every 2 weeks and let the filter do the rest. Also use a water conditioner your comfortable with. Hope this helps
