 Want to learn the difference

I was looking around in the photo gallery at some of the neat pics.

I never knew there was a difference between a turtle & a tortoise.

Can someone please explain to me the difference?

Well the short story is that turtles live mostley in the water, and tortoises live on land.
I hope I helped and didnt just confuse you more!!!! LOL
