Smoking+reptiles Towels won’t filter out the smoke either, it’s unhealthy, for smoker, herp, or housemates no two ways around it.

Smoking+reptiles "second hand smoke is the same for reptiles as it is for people"
so your implying that it wont effect them at all... becuase theres hard evidence finding second hand smoke while isnt healthy, cannot cause any desiese or harm to a person. 30 cases worldwide have been blamed on secondhand smoke.. and thats just becuase they got cancer (many non smokers do) and were asked if people in the household smoked and they replied yes. i wish it were the same case as with humans i wouldnt be asking this question.

Smoking+reptiles Actually, second hand smoke can cause very serious problems.......I dunno where you read that but I would like too see that.....Smoke around anything you want it’s not really our problem, but if you’re going to take advice instead of defending smokers....that are polluting MY air and ruining MY lungs because they don’t care about themselves....around the world I would suggest that you don’t do it. I heard smoking kills more people than murder.....

Smoking+reptiles smoking is terrible for you... but when you inhale smoke, you absorb everything bad... and you exhale clean smoke. the amount drifting off the end of the cigarette isnt substantial enough to actually hurt people who dont smoke themselves. but i thought it wouldnt be the case with reptiles and i assumed it would be dangerous (thats why i never smoked in my room)

Smoking+reptiles Reptiles have a tendency to drop dead as easily as small birds in mineshafts. If there’s too much smoke, gas, or similar in the area, they could easily die or get very sick on you without warning. Many reptile keepers are against burning scented candles around ’tank rooms’ because of this... And that’s tiny compaired to smoking, especially if you smoke more than a pack a day.
Another hazard with smoke is that when it gets into the tank, it doesn’t come out. Kinda like if you blow smoke into a glass. Then the water and moisture in the air will become tainted and the reptile can get sick from drinking it.
Hope that helps you out.

Smoking+reptiles Actualy a few facts here are wrong, firstly the smell permiates your clothes and people with alergies can be affected by this, my GF working at a video store is sometimes subjected to people who smoke and just the second hand smell is enough to make me ill at times. Secondly if you die from it, it affects all those around you I would presume. Third this is about reptiles and they are far smaller and may I repeat may be more prone to being affected than a human either by the actual smoke and disease which I think is unlikely or simply stress from the constant smell.

this is the answer i wished for. thanks, it did.
and pollen can affect allergies too, should second hand gardening be diagnosed as the reason? smoking is terrible... being around a smoker is mediocre ha.

Smoking+reptiles As a smoker myself I have to say this. Smoking is a choice I know how terrible it is for your body. Hell I have even taken college level anatomy and physiology. There was a whole chapter on the effects of smoking and the dangers to the body. Anyway what I am trying to say is that any conscientious smoker will not subject anyone or anything to the presence of smoke. I don’t even smoke in my own home I smoke outside. As for the original question smoking around anything with lungs proportionally smaller than yours uses proportionally less oxygen (basic math) because of this if you add a third medium into the air then that lizard is even getting less oxygen than it normally does. This could cause asphyxiation and death. Simple as that.
