I would say no. I understand that once the joy of a new animal wears off, then your bd can be a little boring, but you have obligated yourself to it by getting one in the fist place. If you want something else, find a smaller animal that would fit into the 10 gal, or just get another tank. But you still have a responsibility, and you should still take the best care possible of your pet. Of course, you can allways give him away. But if you do that, make sure he goes to a RESPONSIBLE owner!
Best of luck,

No. A 10 gallon tank is way too small for an adult beardy. What happens when you get bored with the new one? Will you just keep giving them away? Pets are not disposable. If you don’t feel like you can make a lifetime commitment to a pet then you are obviously not mature enough to have them. Give him to someone who can give him a good home for the rest of his life and wait until you’re a little older before getting another one cuz I guarantee the new one will bore you just as much when something new comes along.

By the way, you may want to rethink your online name. Herps is spelled without an e on the end. What your name says is I love herpes. Herpes is an unpleasant disease that few people would love.

Not even a baby bearded dragon can fit in a 10 gallon. What size, may I ask are you currently keeping your adult beardie in? Sounds like you should go to the BD forum to be sure you have everything set-up right.

When I first read about an adult in a 10gallon tank I thought it was a joke.

Oh and if you’re so tired of your beardie, you can always try to adopt it out to a good home using this site.
