Ok, I am feeling quite stupid at the moment. I bought this lizard as a House Gecko, but recently I have doubted it. I have looked up pics of House Geckos to find it doesn’t look anything like one. I have also looked up Brown Anoles which this closely resembles. Please help

Im not really informed about gecko’s and such, but I do agree that the resemble a brown Anole, but I’ve only seen small ones. Have you looked into skink’s at all, small resemblance there too. Not just offering thought? Good luck.

Resembles an anole but its not. The scales on and anole are different. Can you get better pictures?

There are two types of annoles that I know of... the green and the bahama (brown). He’s definitely not a gecko.

Iâ€™m going to have to agree with ameivaboy on this. That is not any type of anole, but rather a tropical ground-dwelling lizard like an ameiva. If it canâ€™t climb glass, it isnâ€™t an anole.

Ok I think the pic makes it look bigger than it actualy is. It is FULLY grown and is only 5 inch MAX including full tail (currently has a "stumpy" as it lost itâ€™s tail). I do thank you all for taking your time in helping me find out what species this is. I have been digging up myself but I am finding this one really hard to ID :(
