 Cuddling lizards?

do lizards cuddle? i have a juvenile leopard gecko and a northwestern alligator lizard. they live in separate cages, but whenever i let them out together they seem to cuddle and like eachother.

when the leo is asleep the allie curls-up to her, and when they are both awake the leo climes on the allie.i haven’t seen any aggression between them.

any ideas of if this relationship will change when the leo becomes an adult?

 Cuddling lizards?

You seem really familiar.

You shouldn’t have the alligator lizard and leo anywhere near each other. The alligator lizard likely comes with parasites if you haven’t taken it to a vet for deworming, and the leo could get hit hard by that parasite load. That and a fight could break out.

’cuddling’ is a form of territorial aggression in lizards. One lays on the other to show they’re dominant.

Anyway, don’t put them together anymore.
