Cant decide which lizard I want, any help please? Alright, right now I had a baby beardie and a leopard gecko, and I want something new. I want a vegetarian or a vegitarian that eat very few crickets, because I dont feel like spending any more money than I am on crickets. I was thinking of a whites tree frog since they dont eat many crickets, but they croak something and I dont want that, then I thought about a crested, but they eat crickets and baby food. I dont want something too big, or that requires a lot of lighting, and heating. I have a 10 gallon tank, and about a 35 gallon tank, that measures 36 inches long, 20 inches tall and 12 inches wide. And noone mention uros, I would love to have one, but I dont wanna buy a new tank. I was thinking of a viper gecko, but dont know much about them besides how small they are. Im confused on what to get, and still am considering a crested though, and most likely will end up getting one lol, but still want other options, and I read up a lot about them so dont need info on them. But any other suggestions?

Cant decide which lizard I want, any help please? hmmmm. This is a tricky question. Maybe a........hmmmm. I can’t think of anything besides a uro. I think that your only options are a uro or an iguana. O I got it! A monkey tailed skink only eats plants! O wait but you would need something 4 X 3 X 2 (l X w X h in feet). sorry i can’t think of anything.

Cant decide which lizard I want, any help please? Isnt that tank size too small for a uro though? Yeah I guess it is kinda tricky lol. And for some reason my mom doesnt want me to get an iguana, Ive been asking her for a while lol. I think I just might get a crested gecko I guess.
Thanks for the help.

Cant decide which lizard I want, any help please? Probably a crested. Don’t require a major amount of heating(as long as the cage isn’t too big), and technically don’t NEED a uvb light cause they are nocturnal, but mine have benefited from it. And don’t eat a crap load of crickets. Plus they are extremely active and very fun to watch. Especially when they are hunting
BUT IF You are going to get a crested gecko then you are eventually going to need a 20 gallon tall enclosure which you will have to buy cause they will out grow the 10 gallon, and it will be a pain to keep the 35 gallon heated to the proper temp.
A uro. Vegitarians. I don’t know a whole lot about those.
Vipers and helmeted geckos can live in a 10 gallon permanently as long as you can maintain a proper heat gradient. They both get about 4 inches in total length and eat insects as a main source of food. But they are so small i couldn’t imagine they would eat as much as a leo or bearded.
Google searching is extremely effective. But you are going to have to feed your new animal crickets. That is prettymuh a given.

Cant decide which lizard I want, any help please? I dont think I want the uro, I mean I really want it, I was about to get a mali uro over my beardie, but then they require uvb, and a hot basking spot, and a larger tank, so I dont think I wanna spend a lot of mooney on the light bulbs, the fixtures, and a new tank, and I dont think my parents want me to either lol. I think Im going to go with a crestie though, but if I can keep the 35 gallon heated fine, will 20 inches tall be tall enough? If it is a pain I think I might just make my own enclosure. Thanks for the help guys.

Cant decide which lizard I want, any help please? Well you said you had a 10 gallon. You can keep your crestie in thier until it gets full grown. Then if you can keep the 36 gallon heated to the right temps, it should be fine.

Cant decide which lizard I want, any help please? Not that much harder, they may actually be easier. Just different. They just require a higher humidity, different temps, and they eat fruit(main part of diet) in addition to crickets. And They are a tropical species while leos are a desert species.
There are care sheets on this forum and also here
Link
Also i recommend that you buy from either pangea reptile, or crestedlady.com

Cant decide which lizard I want, any help please? They generally grow no bigger than 8 inches, and sometimes as small as 6 inches.
Juvies can be housed until around 6 inches, then can be moved to a more permenant enclosure. Like a 20 gallon tall.
