No, it’s always a bad idea to mix species, so just keep them in their own individual cages.

It is always safer to house the species seperatly. Mostly because of stress, and disease factors.

Agreed, ig’s don’t get along with other lizards. It’s rare to even have iguanas get along with other iguanas, although some rare iguanas will, especially if they’re raised together.

And iguanas will def. injure a smaller type of lizard. I had hoped to find some other kinds of reptiles to put in with my ig, to make more of a ’habitat’ then a ’cage’. But through my research on all different types of lizards and snakes both, couldn’t find a single one (except a couple snakes that are very rare or illegal to import) that even have the same temperature and humidity requirements.

You might be able to make a kind of ’split’ cage though, to have them in the same area and make use of heat and humidity in one area rather then two seperate. But making it so they can’t see each other will be better on both sides stress-level wise. :)

If you’ve had your iguana for three years and it is the same size as a water dragon, you need to do some serious changes to your husbandry, because he or she is WAY too small. I’d suggest posting pictures of your ig and your setup, along with a detailed rundown of your diet, in the ig forum to see if someone there can help you out.

I agree. House them seperatly please! Igs are territorail and won’t appreciate a buddy. Plus, their temp/lighting/humidity requirements are different so one of them will be stressed out.
