Reptile laws
I was just wondering how many of you guys/girls have reptile laws where you live that don’t let you have reptiles, and how many of you still keep reptiles? And how many of you have no idea if there are any laws where you live? I have no idea at all. So please answer and tell me! Thanks, flip21

Reptile laws
I live in southeast texas & i have an iguana, two turtles,a three-toed amphiuma, & i’m gettin a 5-foot ball python in july. The only law i’m aware of is that you can’t keep alligator snappers because they’re moving to becoming an endagered species.

Reptile laws I live in Alabama and I only know of 2. One, can’t keep alligator snappers and two, some type of map turtle. I can’t remember if it is the mississippi map or the Alabama map.

Reptile laws I live in Pennsylvania and there are no restrictions here except on native reptiles. You have to have a permit to capture and house Timber Rattlesnakes. You can only have two of any reptile/amphibian native species in your home/possession at one time without a special permit.

Reptile laws in az, it is illegal to have horney toads. im not sure about venemous snakes though. you can kill the rattlesnakes, however. i used have quite a collection of snake skins. and for the ppl who think this is wrong and inhumane and whatever: the rattlers find their way into my yard, and they threaten my dogs and my cat. my cousin’s dog, duke, has been bit by 4 rattlers, attacked by coyotes, a herd of javelina, and stung by several scorpions. sadly, duke passed away last month at age 16. (its a wonder he lived so long) anyways, sorry for the rant!

Reptile laws I don’t know what your talking about blue eyes...my dragons will never get over 12 inches .... oh yeah and my boas will never get over 24 inches either ....wait did I say dragons and boas plural??? um....never mind...forget you heard that.Actually our laws are all complaint driven. That means someone has to know I have them and feel strongly enough to complain, and then they have to be able to provide enough evidence for the city to get a permit to come into my house. I think we are pretty safe since the animals are kept in the basement and will only be seen by those we show them too.

Reptile laws What type of bearded dragons do you have? Because the most common gets to be 24 inches. Mines 20". So unless you have some dwarf BD’s then they’re going to break the laws. And what kind of boa do you have?

Reptile laws Jade2u~PA law:the law about having only 2 at a time with out a permit??!!??!! So I guess I should have a permit to keep my beardie, 3 turtles, toad and ball python?!?! What do you mean about restrictions on native reptiles? Is that referring to wild caught? Can you have a PA native reptile that is purchased from a breeder? I know it’s illegal to keep a wild animal (not just reptiles) for a pet. (oohps! I didn’t find that out till we had one of our turtles for nearly a year and the toad all winter.) hsmom/Lisa PS: I know the borough I live in has restrictions on the # of pets a household can have. I think it’s 5 or 6. I take that to mean cats and dogs and the such. If it refers to reptiles, hampsters, birds. etc... I’m in trouble!! LOL!
