I have a 29 gallon tank that is empty and was wondering what type of lizard I cold put in it that could live in it for its whole liffe. I really want something nocturnal.

how about a pair of female leopard geckos. I’m prety sure you can house two in that large of a tank

Crested geckos would be better for a 29 gal since it’s higher than it is long, and they’d be able to use more of that space whereas leos would only use the space at the very bottom.

what about a pair of Emarald Swifts.
They climb and enjoy hanging from the screen top.

They only get about 9 inches long some burrow some dont.
And they also have babies not eggs.

I think a a schneider skink, because they live up to 20 years if you take good care of it, plus it will do great in a 30 gallon!

If you’re inexperienced, I’d suggest a leopard gecko.

Crested geckos are just as wonderful of a first reptile as a leopard gecko.

he did say though that he wants something nocturnal, and i dont think cresties are nocturnal. with that much of floor space though, you would probably be best off with an arboreal lizard. if you want a leopard gecko then maybe you could flip the cage on its side and make the lid a side door

Well, I have a crested gecko and a leopard gecko and they are in fact nocturnal. Also, don’t turn aquariums on their sides or anything, I’ve heard that they can break if you do that.
