I bought a small postal scale from Costco ($20) works great

the plastic top piece comes off so you can place a plastic shoe box on top for less cooperative/large animals

Wow you guys are lucky. The Walmart where I live wants $50 for their electric kitchen scale and I do not believe it has a bowl with it but it might, the box is pretty skinny though.

my scale was in a plastic box ( like some cdplayer come in ( you need a knife ot get it out lol) and the bowl/was thesame size as the scale which in my case doubles as a protector when it on the shelf ..

Check online, or other area stores :o)

30 bux here

You also may want to look for scales that weigh high amounts...
if you have, or plan to get larger snakes/other things needing to be weighed.

Some scales only go up yo 700 grams, which is about the size of a 3-4 ft BP.
Full grown BPs can weigh upside of 3200 grams :o)

Thank you, I will look around for a cheaper one, or one that weighs higher amounts as I do have some snakes with potential to be large. Thank you.
