He wasnt letharic with bad eyes

He was eating fine

He had a clean home with loads of hiding spots

He wasnt handle to much

COuld have been intrrnal parasites, the cage was to small, they need TALL cages and a bowl of water woudnt get him the right humidity.

 My Rough Green Snake died!

He had a tall cage full of loads of stuff from him to climb on
and he was misted every so often..do you think its humidty reasons he died??? He didnt look dehydrated or anything. He had no lateral folds...maybe he had internal parasites,....

do u think Im a bad snake owner?

 My Rough Green Snake died!

Just bescasue he had loads of stuff to climb on doesnt make the cage big enough. THis could have increased stress on him casuing him to increase his suseptcability to ertain dieseases and parasite causing his death.

And no, I dont think your a bad snke owner, you just got a snkae thats hard to care for when you retry, get a corn.

Green snakes are very hard to keep in captivity and i can tell you one thing your not the first person to complain that their rough green snake just died.In most cases they just die for no reason.

Yeah, I has one a couple of years ago and he seemed fine, too, until he died. I could never figure it out it either. Have you tried calling a pet store, or vet that specializes in snakes, or even looking it up online? That might give you some clues. Thatís probably what I would do.

Well imo thereís really no point in keeping them.I know people who have had their husbandry perfect for their greens but they still die away.

 My Rough Green Snake died!

Why would he use rough greens when garters and Ribbons are more abundant and readily available?

 My Rough Green Snake died!

most people who manage to keep greens alive successfully have a very large enclosure (60+ gallons) plus have so much foliage that the snake is hardly seen. They also offer a variety of food items.
