i just recently got a blue headed agama and he is not eating and doesnt venture around very much i saw in another artical that they nap for the winter ???????

mine does the same thing and minis wild cought and its about 10 inches this could be the case for me.

they have a winter shutdown, where they become less active + hungry. I normally set the heat bulb timer around 11hrs between end of autumn til begining of spring, roughly 5 months. After winter shutdown, if your have a pair, they tend to lay clutches which is a good way of judging end of winter shutdown. Hope his helps, mine are painted agamas so this may vary for blue headed agamas. P.S is yours a blue headed tree agama?
