 Please help sick agama

Hello I am new here, I need some help, I have an agama, and she is several months old, I came home one day and she was on her back. When I turned her over she seemed fine, but she doesn’t want to use her back legs. It look like she hurt it, but when I picked her up it didn’t seemed as if it hurt her. I took her to the vet, they said they don’t know what’s wrong, they said nothing seemd broke. I don’t know what to do, because she is usually energetic. I will post some pics soon. If anyone can help please do!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS

Hello. My male agama just slowed down yesterday, and seems week in the rear legs. Have you found any answers?

I tried a different vet in my area and they said that, she might need some calcium shots. Other than that I haven’t found anything else that it could be, I’m still looking around and asking different people about it. Please let me know if you find anything out.

I did some searching and it sounds like she needs calcium.
I did a yahoo search on "Ill lizard" and went to e-how. The article said that a lack of minerals and vitamins can cause weakness, muscle twitches, and seizures.

I just saw your reply. Sounds lie we are on the same track. They need calcium and vit D to absorb it like we do.
I have a UV lite and feed my crickets with flucker calcium rich food, but both have been around a while.
My agama had a siezure tonight, and it scared the crap out of me. I grabbed one of my cal/d pills and dissolved it in a tbsp of water. Took drops with my finger and rubbed it accross his lips while he was reclined/mouth up, in my other hand. He lapped it up for a while and then I had to open his mouth a little so it would run in. Then he would swallow it.
The siezures and trembling stopped. After that he crawled up on his hot rock and is sleaping soundly.
I will update you in the morning.
