Butterfly Agama Tank 
What size tank is good for one of these guys? I have an empty 15 gallon that I want to use. I’m more of a snake/turtle guy but I would like to have a small lizard. I’ve seen a few of these agamas and I like them. I could go bigger if necessary.

I’m not an expert at Agamas but I have two adults and they are pretty small.I have mine in a ten gallon but they should be fine in a 15.They usually do well on reptile carpets by zoo med or you can use calcium sand which works just as fine.They should be kept at a temp of around 85-95 degrees and need the essential UVB light and basking lamp which a 60 watt should be fine depending on how close to the tank the light is.If you need more information you should consult a local herpetalogist.

I would probably use the reptile carpet thing. Those are aways my favorites to use for everything. My snakes have those too. Thanks for being the only response. I’m still considering getting one, it just might be a while. Do you know if they’re okay by themselves or should I buy a pair?

Well I had bought a Butterfly Agama from a local pet store and she had been in with a male at the store and she didn’t do too well after we got her. I’m not an expert but I’d say that if they were at the pet store together there might be a reason. I don’t really know. It’d be better to ask the store owner like how long they’d been together for or something just in case. Otherwise it would be fine to get just one.
