 My painted agama ripped off a toe

Just got a painted agama, it is our first lizard so we are pretty clueless. This morning he is missing a toe. We have no idea what happened to it. How do I care for this so he doesn’t get an infection. Also what kind of uvb light will be best for him?

i would say use neosporin......NO pain relief ones though.....and for the UVB...im not sure =S tick with a "desert" or one used for beardies...ive used the Sunglo desert one for my agamas
