 ????? Japulara Agama

Hey gang,
Question: I have a chance to take in (rescue) two Japulara Splenda ( Neon Dragon ) Agama babies. They are 2 months old. Anyone have one or two ?? Any issues I should be aware of ? Fav food, temps or anything I might not see in a care sheet ? Suggest another Care Sheet website ?
I have a pair of Dwarf Spiny Tailed Agamas. Treat the Japulara’s the same as the Spiny ???

Thanks Newtman, I checked out that site and a few others. Sure do have a lot of alias’s. Japalura , Chinese Bergagame , Green Calotes , Dragon Agama , Banana Split lizard , Neon Agama, to name some.

I’m driving to see them tomorrow. A friend has them in quarantine now and has to hold them for 7 days before he can release them. Legal junk....

I have one of my own. I have him in a 20gallon long lank. he seems to enjoy the middle of the tank the most at a temp of about 73-76*F He loves the plants I have in the tank. I know some will say not to have too many plants in the tank because of hiding crickets, but my japalura seems to find them just fine and he actually needs the hiding places. before, all i had in his tank was one small fake plant and some vine along with 2 hides. he didn’t go in the one hide and didn’t really like the other one either. he always seemed scared and stressed. i quickly got him some more natural bark bedding and sever fake plants with varying sizes of leaves. the vines stayed and I places a piece of wood for him to climb and he loves to hang from the screen top.

the other thing I found that japaluras like is the humidity. somewhere above 50% is good my tank can go from 60 to 100% now and then and my japalura seems to like it at around 60-70% he runs around more and likes to play on the vines more too. I have a heat lamp at one end but he seems to just like the UV lamp I have more.

I have 2 of them and i love so much. but i dont know how old they are. how do you know? I think one of them just laid a egg thats why i’m on here searching on if it is a egg and what i’m suppose to do? but to answer your question take care of them the same they just like to be spritzed with water sometimes and i feed them crickets.
