Is this normal ? I have a baby Alligator Lizard which we caught in hopes of feeding it to our female Gopher Snake. The snake eats fence lizards and mice, and the snake will kill anything I put in the tank and if it’s hungry it will eat it and if not it won’t. The snake absolutely will not touch this lizard no matter how hungry it is. Aren’t these two species natural enemies ? They were both caught wild in N. California and the snake is much older than the lizard. They seem to enjoy each others company very much. Is this normal ?
