No. I remember that post, the guy most likely force fed the lizard or was in denial about the cost of keeping lizards.

No, you should do research before you say wrong stuff. Crickets are perfectly fine to eat. Meal worms are in fact not recommended. They are harder to successfully gut load and they aren’t easily digestible.

I had a northern alligator lizard. I’m not an expert but she ate crickets (pin heads) dusted with calcium, super worms and the occasional silk worms or meal worms as a treat. She never ate any types of vegetables at all someone told me to try lettuce we put it in her tanks and all she did was lay down on it.

We had her for 6 yrs and she did beautifully until we went out of town and the person babysitting her left the top of the tank open and didn’t notice she had gotten out. we found her dried up on the bathroom floor when we got home a week later. (make sure you always have someone who knows what their doing or at least understands when you go on vacation ... we unfortunately learned the hard way).

ours would eat 3-5 crickets per day and every second day she would eat a small super worm. again I’m not an expert but that’s what we did and she was a very happy and healthy Lil girl.
