 Need Help With Aquarium Enviroment

Can anyone help me with this issue. There are not a lot of people that know how to take care of Northern lizards.
1) What should I use as ground cover?
2) Should I stay away from rocks under the soil?
3) Should the enviroment be moist?

Coconut fiber/sand mixture.
Depends on how deep your substrate is. If it is at least 4 inches deep them a small 1/2 inch layer of small river pebbles would be fine.
Yes. Mist 2 times a day.

Thanks for the info. By the way these lizards can be "Lap Lizards". I have two of them and they give me kisses, and play in my hair for hours. I will send you pics.

I use about 2" of reptibark as a substrate. I find it less dusty than the coconut fiber sand mix (I use that for my spiny lizards). Rather than misting the whole tank, you can provide a moist hide and a water bowl. As long as the substrate inside the hide is kept moist, there is no need for regular misting (but it doesn’t hurt). If you don’t already, I’d recommend a UVB light and that you supplement with a phosphorus free, calcium supplement with vitamin D3.
