So I have reptile bark and I have tons of hides with tons of little crevaces and stuff inside them,,, So one day I put in like 3 crickets for my lizard to eat and the crickets burrowed under my bark and layed tons of eggs!! so then weeks later my alligator lizard ate the adults and while I was cleaning the cage I was heating up the bark with a hairdryer (the bottemlayer got wet from condensation) and since the bark got warm and stayed warm crickets hatched. Now I have hundreds of little tiny pinhead crickets running around my cage and most are crawiling above and below my reptile bark so my lizard smells them and diggs and trys to catch them and completly misses..Im trying to take them out to breed them but they are just so dang fast~!

If it becomes a problem, just remove the bedding and buy new. When I get a few babies hatching out in my tanks, my lizard don’t pay any attention to them. I guess my prefer movement over scent.
