 Northern Al, determining sex.

Hey guys, this is my new northern alligator lizard:



I was thinking its male because of its larger triangular shaped head.
What do you think?
And yes hes a fatty

Um, Im not really sure what a hemipenis looks like,
but it isnt really flat.
If you think its a female, do you think its Gravid or just fat?

Really?
I was hoping for that.
Can you give me some pointers on proper housing/climate for a pregnant mother?
Such as a birthing place?
I heard something about using bottles, but since its live birth with northerns I dont really think all that is needed unless
they need to keep warm or something.

You don’t need anything special. Gravid/pregnant lizards often appreciate being able to bask so a basking light above a hide (in case she wants to get warm without being seen) would likely be appreciated. Having access to UVB and a high quality diet including calcium supplements will also help.

I do have a basking light for her,
im only using a normal bulb.
She spends most of her time perched on that log you see in the picture, probably because its under the light.
anyway ill let you guys know how it goes.
