 I need help with Texas alligator lizards

If the female is in a little ditch and she is closing her eyes. Could she lay her eggs in that ditch

She is probably just sleeping/resting, but she could lay eggs there if she wants.

if she isn’t much interested in eating and mostly resting in one spot digging that one spot continually then that sure does mean that she is about to lay eggs.
