 How can you tell if it is a girl or a boy!

I just got an aligator lizard. I found it under some boards and it is an adult. I’m afraid to touch it because it might bite me, but I have to I will to see the gender. How much do you have to feed it. One day it ate 3 crickets. Thanks if you can halp!

Well, if the head is as wide as the widest part of its body than its a girl. Three crickets a day is a stable diet, but they prefer verity so see if it likes mealworms of waxworms. Most alligator lizards will bite. I am lucky. Very lucky. I caught a male, he is happy, healthy, and very friendly. He doesn’t mind being touched and he never bit me except when I first caught him. If you want to pet him, first take a pencil and stroke him with that. If he opens his mouth he is warning you that he will bite so take the pencil away and keep trying it until he is use to it then try it with your hand. (don’t be afraid! They would much rather run away than bite you...) make sure to offer it water daily by misting it with a spray bottle. Make sure he stays happy and healthy in his new home!
