New Eggs If you want them to hatch, remove them. You’ll need a small Tupperware type of container filled with moistened vermiculite (if you can’t find vermiculite, get some eco-earth, bed-a-beast etc.) you want the substrate to be damp, but not wet, about a 1:1 ratio of substrate to water by weight. Fill the container 2/3rds of the way with substrate and place the eggs in it. Bury the eggs about 2/3rds to 3/4ths of the way. Be careful not to rotate the eggs when you transfer them to the container. Put the lid on and place it somewhere where the temperature stays relatively constant in the low to mid 70s (room temperature). Open the container once a week for air exchange. If you see lots of hanging droplets, wipe them off, you don’t want them raining on your eggs. The eggs should hatch in about 2 months.
