 Found strange dropping and im worried

2 weeks ago i managed to capture a dragonfly and fed it to my ali Mittledorf. the next day or so noticed a dropping that looked very different than the normal dropping of a lizard. One side of it was larger than the other side,all of it is different shades of brown, and it doesn’t have that white stuff at the end.Is it the digested dragonfly, or am i dusting his crix too heavy? Please respond with good info.

Alone, a dragon fly shouldn’t be able to harm your lizard, but if that dragon fly was carrying parasite, you could have a minor problem. Parasites can absorb both water and nutrients from your lizard, so I would go have a fecal done at the vets office.

What your describing could also be a sign of dehydration. Are you offering water everyday? What are your temps?

I have a water bowl in there for him every day and the temperature is 80-90

Well thats good.

Do his droppings still look weird? If so, I’d take him in to be checked for parasites. To go that long and still show those signs is a very strong indicator of parasites, and not the harmless ones.

I fed my alli a dragonfly, and it’s poop changed color and consistency too. Keep in mind that dragonflies are alot harder than those squishy little inbred crickets you get at the petstore.
