 Can I own an alligator in Kansas?

I live in Kansas and will be traveling to Florida soon on vacation. I am interested in purchasing a baby alligator for a pet, but am unsure whether it would be legal for me to own in Kansas. If anybody has the answer for me , I would appreciate knowing. Thank You!

alligator lizard or american alligator with big teeth that eat you? lol! welll i would say talk to your local fish and game control and they should let you know :D
