Do i ? def a light bulb that gives out uvb rays, and depending on what the temps are in your area in the day your liz should have at least temps up in the 70’s and on end of the tank should be even higher temps to help your allie digest food and get some energy, allies dont actually need really hight temps like fence liz or bearded dragons, i think it would be a mistake to have your basking spot temperatures at a 100 F or even in the 90’s alligator lizards can handle colder weather a little better than most lizards, i would say have your basking spot in the mid or high 80’s or i guess even 90 if you want but they will prob spend most of their time where it isnt so hott

Do i ? then just just try to duplicate that temp as best as you can, really you could prob throw a allie in a empty plastic box out side and as long it gets food it will prob survive for years! but that would be pretty messed up and the whole point of having them in captivity is to give them just as good or better enviroment!, soo just research their needs as much as possible ask around go to a couple pet stores and if you really want to keep an allie then im sure it will do great, feel free to ask any more ? if youre not sure.
