 I need answers

i live by a bayou and we have been having several alligators caught ranging from 3 to about 7 ft (well that was the biggest one they caught can i assume that there is still much bigger ones around? I live out in the country and the bayou that I live by isnt more than forty feet across. and no more than five or six feet deep What should I be looking for to find where they are moving from

now look be careful this is an animal that can grab you fom the bank and has a bite stronger than a
t-rex the water is deep enough so if you see any weird looking logs GET OUT! also if there is any movement thats not a fish,frog,or eel GET OUT! also if you see one not moving underwater GET OUT!!!!!!!!! because there ambush predators,THEY WILL EAT YOU!
