#2263948 CowgirlPatch(: View Profile	How much should they eat? I have two allies housed together in a 30 gal tank, one male and one female. They have been housed together for two years now. I used to feed them 10-15 crickets everyday but they started not eating them all, but I am wondering if thats because they were going to brumate soon...? Now I have been feeding them 6-8 crickets every other day. Is that okay? Or am I underfeeding? How much should they eat? Also I calcium dust the crickets every other feeding.

Mine go through periods of loss of appetite and periods of eating a lot for no particular reason. I don’t worry about a temporary loss of appetite unless it’s accompanied by noticeable weight loss. I’ve noticed males in breeding season get single minded and lose interest in food until after they’ve mated. Females cycling eggs eat a lot.
