 Rocks

If your talking about ’small rocks’ I dont suggest it, they can be a pain in the butt ie gravel like rocks... its fine to do riverbed rocks the larger ones, but clean them first place them in scalding water with a capful of bleach to kill bacteria and any other tiny microorganism... then after about 30 minute soak refill the tub with scalding water and soak the rocks one last time to clean the remnants this sanitizes and helps prevent any illness due to something that may have been creepy crawly....

And yes Small gators with small rocks can and sometimes accidently eat the gravel... I personally would not throw gravel in the pool not until they are older, simply for the fact that small juvis can lodge a rock down the windpipe and choke..(this opinion will vary from one keeper to the next....dont just go on my advice) I myself would not want to risk it... if you want ’decorum’ then use large river bed rocks besides the gravel can be a pain in the butt to clean the smaller the rocks the more irritating....
