it is huge for a little gator though, i know with my snakes, big enclosures are sometimes stressful.

I dont think it would cause stress as long as you give it lots of places to hide. The only problem is if you feed live crickets or fish it may have a hard time finding them.

good, because i am building a big pool that i can get in and its about 2 tall and almost 5’ width. I will probably feed dead fish, mice, and the crickets will be live but i will make sure eats them and i’ll take them out if he doesnt eat them. Do you think i will need to get a underwater heater or something? Will need a big filter?

yes you’ll need both, I can’t remember who makes them right now but you can buy a single filter/heater unit that would do the job.

Thats true, they dont like wide open space, they like having places to hide, a big enclosure is good, they just dont like being out in the open space for long......

yes you have to have a filter and a heater. They are messy eaters and a good filter will come in handy unless you plan to clean the cage a lot.. and this could stress your little one anyway. And they wont eat if its too cold you need to keep the water in the 80s.. Those are both very important

and use the brand eheim for both the heater and the filter.. its a really good brand promise!
