Specatcled Caiman VS Porosus I got an offer today to swap my Crocodylus porosus with a spectacled caiman. I do not know if it is a good deal or a bad deal. I want to be informed of the following:
Which is more expensive?
Which is a more exotic pet?
Which species is more docile?
Thank you very much.

Specatcled Caiman VS Porosus Caiman are probly just as agressive if not more than porosus but they lack the size to do as much damage and kill, well even a caiman could pull someone swimming down and drown them but a porosus can do much damage on land, if you have a good enclosure and have experience with crocodilians then I would keep the porosus cuz it is harder to come by, way more exotic, king of the crocs, and hard to come by. If you have a big enclosure and experience keep the croc, if not then go with the specticaled caiman, on one hand you might say someone is trying to hustle you for a hard to come by very expensive animal in exchange for a very common species that you can get for 150$ while on the other hand those crocs can cost in the thousands, or at least 500 to a thousand, hybrids are 300 and up. But if you want something smaller the caiman will work, the best temperment you will find is in alligators, they are more calm and dont mind being handled to much.......Peace

Specatcled Caiman VS Porosus God bless you too, glad to help and I hope you dont get bit by your croc when he gets very large one day, they are fast lungers, as long as the enclosure is built safe and you have long tongs you should be fine.......I hope. Peace P.S. I would start brain storming about enclosure ideas and how to clean and change the water for a large croc and go with the best and safest idea, talk to other people who have them and maybe they will help you with some ideas..........
