 Whats best first croc and are they legal in Charlotte, NC?

Hey, What’s the best first croc? and what do i need and how hard are they to keep up, And so on. If you got any info on this please tell me! Thanks!

Call your local pet stores/animal control and maybe they can tell you for your state, I know in p.a you can’t keep most reptiles in the city limits (Erie)but if you live in the township we can pretty much keep what we want.
