Ill stick with my calm docile good tempered Gators..it isnt not being able to House one its is it legal?besides they have the nastier tempers of the crocidilian species...especially the Freshies

I have to admit, the Gators are a big responsibility but worth it...Of course they arent for the people that want a "Lap pet" they cant sit on you hey dont wag their tails happy to see you.... Though I will say this..I got into a recent argument with a o called reptile expert on my end...He was pissed he was proven wrong...apparantly we can "Tame Gators" No...We can calm them down to a point HOWEVER that isnt tame...they are known on occasion to bite. Of course this is the same idiot that I well got damaged goods from if any can recall Savannah Monitors that I mentioned on a recent post...... Its sad really...Now would I ever own a Crocodile.... Well I value my limbs besides My Gators are enough with the other creatures.....Maybe if I ever got a bigger place heh...Ooooooh Bayou where art though My Friend? I’ve not heard from you in awhile since you spoke of no more posting upon a Thread.....Drop a line lets discuss idiots BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY do I have a story for you

I didn’t want to get in trouble....LOL Any way share the story. As far as owning a croc I owned (past tense) a Philippine Croc. Looks a lot like a caiman but worst temperament. Unfortunately he got out of his enclosure alittle over a year ago and challenged my at the time 6 foot gator(he was 3 foot) I had sadly removed a decapitated body from the pond. I would own another Croc but for now I am just sticking with the big boys that I have. "Of course they aren’t for the people that want a "Lap pet" they cant sit on you hey don’t wag their tails happy to see you.... " I would like you to come over and walk into the enclosures with the food bucket they get happy to see you...LOL TB

Lol dont tempt me...Id come over and happliy walk around feeding guys...Mine got fed yesterday Had my oldest neice over to watch... she BEGGED and usually helps with the others so she kept out of the way ...but damn if she didnt think she was Special *shakes head* Get in trouble?? Bah then your like me...rather avoid it all together heh. Okay any way back to the story Alright so Im at a reptile show Ive got my little boy prometheus on a leash but Im holding him...Well anywho Im approached by a Guy...soooooooo He makes this statement "Wow so you’ve really got him tamed" M

this ones for celtic tigeress. Im live in Australia, the home of the crocodile and i just thought i should let you know that the salt water crocodile is the worst tempered crocidilian by far. they grow up to 16 and a half feet (that is huge)and are real angry. any one who is thinking about owning one of those as a pet, i worn you think again. unless you have spent years and years around these beasts like my mate steve irwin (croc hunter) then there is no way you can predict what they will do. they are 100% faster, meaner and more cunning than any american alligator i have ever come across. also in regards to celtic tigeresses comment about fresh water crocodiles, just for some basic info, they make good pets and only grow to be 3 meters. i have swam with freshies up in Northern Australia without any problems. i hope i have provided some usefull information. This goes for Dave I grew up around Reptiles...My Father and I used to handle Poisonous snakes ie catching for a Man named Bill in FL.... Crocs are aggressive yes but the Freshies have the worst temperment ask your friend steve Irwin on that... Im not Naive Nor stupid Nor did I say that Gators werent Docile I appreciate your imput and for once yes hell froze over Celtic is NOT gonna argue just state her opinion.... I say it in everyone of my posts if you care to read up and not contridict.... Sorry Bayou heh Im outta town for the meantime so posts are going slow on my End...Cant wait to get back to my babies though...gonna Have to take in another female seems someone didnt realize what they were getting into .....but I SO needed the break from life. Freshies are the smaller of the croc species but are the nastier ones when it comes to attacking and biting. Simply said..... Im not here to argue Dave Nor make a point but if you care to contridict me do it somewhere else...until I know you that is... the Only person on this forum at this point that I seek advice from is Bayou...and I see Bayou in High regards as someone I can actually respect.. its easy to talk the talk and walk the walk...but I make my points and back them up..... Yes Im known to argue or to be rather Rude at times..... but Ive improved on my temper. Anyhow forums are here for advice not arguing so any ill comments Dave you care to make keep them in messages and dont ruin the readers time with this...back to Bayou So Bayou let me tell you.... The Ex I mentioned somewhile back used to keep Savannahs apprantly he couldnt hack it..anyhow he had stolen a Male from me about 5 months back though I couldnt prove it ...guess what I heard from the Petstore I work for?? thats right you guessed it Mans bad on cash and sold them my lil boy, sooo they are holding him for me and I will have him back when I return to IL *grin* crime doesnt pay oh yeah something about him being Banned from the petstore too...for stealing...took some snakes and whatnot was trading them off and selling them cheap for cash including some rather nice lizards and I believe a sulcatta or two

im sorry celtic tigeress if i came across as trying to argue, but that was not my intention. i was only saying that in my experience with crocs i found freshies, reasonably easy to handle. once again im sorry for sounding arguementative and i hope we can share info in the future. Dave.
