 Squirrel tree frog

I believe we found a squirrel tree frog in the Panhandle of Texas. He was in my husband’s walk in cooler that we use to hang deer before we process them. He was airing it out and saw something on the wall. The frog was silver, the same color as the walls. I am a 2nd grade teacher and I hope to keep him in my classroom. Any comments would be appreciated. It is amazing to see something like this in our arid part of the country. We have never seen anything like him before.

Is this your first time at Reptic Zone?

You posted your question in the amphibian RESCUE forum....here is a link to the TREE FROG forum Link

We can’t help you out much without first knowing what species you actually have....are you sure it’s a squirrel tree frog? If not, post pics asap. If you can’t post pics, give the best physical description that you can.

I will go through my files and find some decent pics for you to compare with.
