Aren’t Anaconda’s really dangerous to keep?

I’ve been thinking of getting one but I don’t quite like the idea of keeping something that grows until death and can easily kill me. I would love to have an owner’s opinion though.

OK well theirs allways people like this who like these snakes but don’t like how big they grow. What i tell people is just stick to your bps and let the more experienced deal with the big boids. Now mainly every one will tell you it depends on how much you handle your snake if you never play with it dont get it ! if you dont feed them what they need dont get it!
Now about size alot of people say have a helper when handling a 10+ ft snake. Now just about any snake if handled since their juveniles they will be alot calmer when full grown now unless you have rodents and you play with the snake prolly wont bite you unless you smell like something it likes.
Now heres the deal big boids aren’t for every one. So unless your ready for a 12+ ft snake dont get one!
now theirs also yellows that average 8-11 ft some males can stay at 7 ft and some females may get 12 ft. Now heres my favorite the green anaconda now i haven’t got mine yet but im getting mine when Ben renick has his next clutch witch is in a couple of months. the greens usually grow
males 10+ft i think they get from 12-16 ft and females get 15+ft now anacondas get very heavy! some may get 110 some may get 150 sooo again unless your ready for it dont get it!
Now with anacondas you may have a really good experience or a really bad experience.
i suggest you get a yellow first then if you like it get a green and if not you may consider a dwarf retic or a carpet .

I looked at your profile and am amazed that your thinking about getting an anaconda when you only have a ball python. Pease dont even think about until atleast a few your more years and a few more larger species of snake. they are great if you have the time and knowledge to care for them.

I am by no means an expert of ANY kind I am just a normal everyday person, and I only own 1 babyBP blah blah blah..... But I think it is seriously irresponsible for anyone to even consider trying to house and keep such a large and potentially dangerous snake as a pet~ especially if they only have experience with smaller types of snakes. Loving snakes DOES NOT make a person a great snake owner. These are not pets for everyone they need and deserve the very best care, and it is wrong to just get them because you think its cool. typically the end result is that the snake or some innocent person or beloved pet is harmed ~ IF you know what yer doing great... If not leave it to the more experienced! =)
