hey there!

i would like to know how do i go about finding a yellow ana? and also how do i find what they live in im completely lost and i wanna research this before i really commit. so please be a sweet heart and give me the scoop.

i got mine from an expo. if you know much about snakes they arent all that tough to keep i have 2 rainbow boas that are probably more trouble than the yellow. iff your lookin for a green though i dont know what to tell ya on that one only b/c its the biggest snake in the world and i dont have or know anyone that has one. however a yellow typically wont get much larger than 12 feet full grown. i keep mine in a large tupper wear i got from wal mart. theres a metal 5 pan i stole from work for a bath and a heating pad attached undernieth on one side. and basically i just keep the temp and humidity right. which the heating pad and the tupperwear more or less do for me. i just check to make sure nothin gets to high. i dont know if that helps but of all my snakes i really would have to say i appreciate the anaconda the most ejony it if you get one

do your homework thats how to answer all the questions to ask. There isnt really a how to book when it comes to anacondas. All you need is a cage (there are plenty of websites that have them for sale visions,animalplastics,boamaster,monster cages) you need a steady food source for them. Keep them warm. fat and happy. Yes they require some money to maintain but they are not the most expensive reptile to keep.

there is actually a book and is top notch material

ANACONDAS professional breeders series by Hans Bisplinghof & Henry Bellosa isbn # 3-89973-460-2

it is full of how to information and has plenty of pics and covers just about everything about anacondas and i would recommend it to every anaconda owner hands down

hey solid snake....there r ppl everywhere on these forums who keep condas!!!! and a sulawesi reticulated python is the longest snake in the world at 33’ 6’’ and the largest conda was 26’ sumin!
top three largest snakes-----
1. reticulated python...33’
2. rock python...28’
3. anaconda...26’

NO!!!! that is 100% WRONG!! that is a legend frm 1940’s when some adventurer’s frm usa or uk (cnt remember) went to south america and aparantly saw a enormous anaconda measuring 36’ long also local tribes speak of more legends including 80’ anacondas which is a load of balls....the largets is the retic and its fact....there is no proof at all of a 36’ conda except legend!!!!

No offence but may I see a pic of that 33ft retic?? The biggest snake I have ever seen ws either fluffy or a anaconda that is in a zoo that I saw a video of on you tube that thing was huge!!!!

That is not a 33ft retic! it may be like a 26 footer but not a 33ft snake! First off it can be that skinny I mean I have seen 18ft retics that look thicker then that even fluffy look 3X that. Second where did they get it? and 3rd dont you think this could be photoshoped or something?

There are 12 people standing shoulder to shoulder (and then some) comfortable along the length of that snake. Even if it was photoshopped, a solid guesstimate from looking at the photo would indeed indicate that the snake pictured is 33-ish feet long.
