 Yellow Anacondas

Ball Python- 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 feet (roughly) with a forgiving and easy temperment

Blood Python- 4 to 6 feet with more specific husbandry needs and a bit of a false reputation for aggression. Their dietary and metabolic distinctions makes them a snake that should be researched more than most.

Carpet Python- 6-9 feet that tend to be nippier as juvenilles but grow into nice snakes as they mature. Frankly, these to me seem the closest you can get to having a Yellow anaconda without actually owning one. They are also more slender than yellows.

RTB- 6 to 8 feet give or take with great dispossition and temperment. The closest match to an "enlarged BP"

Yellow Anaconda- 6-11 feet depending on sex. If coming off BPs I would suggest you have copious experience with snake in general and at least a solid groundwork of time (coupled with research and knowledge of) handling larger snakes. If you choose to get a yellow be ready for a workout, but with time, focus and understanding it is not an impossible (or even improbable) task to undertake.

My suggestion would be a male if you do get one. My last point is that this is a living creature as I know you are well aware, who can not make decisions for its housing and well-being like you can. Please ensure that both you AND any snake you might get, will be able to work out any issues (fiscal constraints, time issues, husbandry) promptly.

Good luck should you choose to become an anaconda owner. You get out of them only as much as you put in (time, effort, money).

An excellent choice! Their length and temperment are quite close to yellows (typically) and should be excellent practice should you still want yellows later. Not to mention they themselves make fantastic pets and have a gorgeous pattern variations!
