 Green or yellow. "help"

Hi, i need some opinions on ether to get a green or a yellow. greens get much bigger, but i have also read that yellows are more prone to aggression. The biggest fight now is that wonderful thing called a girl friend. All she has to base her opinion on anacondas is the man eater movie. so all the info about greens and yellow’s would be thankful....... on an average how big do yellows get.

Ok lets see......
Greens get 12-18ft (average)
Yellows get 7-11ft
In my opinion greens are alot prettyer! Buttt they can weigh alot! 150lbs may not seem alot but what about the strenght of the snake? That needs 2 people to hold. Yellows are cool but I dont like them nearly as much as greens. As for cageing a 4-6ft cage will be fine for a yellow and for a green a 8ft cage is needed. As for water some people decide not to give them a ’’huge’’ water bowl cuz its pretty hard to maintain ext ext... So what they do is keep humidity up more and they act just as fine. As for you g/f unless your living with her and actually getting really serious or planing on marrying her I wouldent care too much on her opinion.LOL. So do some more reasearch and get what you like best !Send Ben Renick a e-mail he knows alot about breeding, careing for anacondas check him out www.benrenick.com

Carp was pretty on the mark but yellows are prettier than greens, actually lol!

Sizes Id say:

Green: (m) 9-12 ft, (f) 14-18 ft
Yellow: (m) 5-8 ft, (f) 9-12 ft

I would say a male could get up to 15ft but I have never seen a 9ft green full grown male the smallest green I have seen was a 12ft male. I guess around 80lbs for something around 9-10ft

Straight off N.E.R.D website:

Green Anaconda-
"Neonates approximately 27" - 34"+/-. Females average 16+’, males average 8’ - 10’ adult size."

I agree this is a bit too small, hence my bumping up the size a bit. To say 12’ avg would be "stretching" the truth (pun intended!).
