 Yellow conda advice?

hi i was thinking not exactly sure yet, but maybe getting a male yellow conda, i was wondering from peoples advice with them or who have worked with them, if i shouldent or not, would you say i need more experience? are they difficult to work with or do they have special needs that are hard to achieve?
before i look up alot of info just some words of advice first i would like.

i have a rainbow boa, coastal carpet, and corn, then lizards but that is different. im not afraid of getting bit.

thanks..

You will notice more girth/strength in the yellow but other than that if youve dealt with length like Carpet Pythons you should be fine, experience wise.

I Actually lost (not as in misplaced) my female yellow this past November, sadly.

I am currently Conda-less but am holding out until this summer to get another. I’m waiting with baited breath to see if Ben’s Axanthic x Marble proves the Marble trait out to be genetic b/c that trait is absolutely mindblowing!

The price is also mind blowing lmao! Yes but they are very nice!
I dont have one I was going to get a yellow and a green but instead I decided to not go with condas till I get a bigger area to work with. But I know alot about them because I did alot of reasearch!!! I was going to buy one I had the money and all but at the last moment I changed my mind and I wanted to wait to get another animal.

Lol! I’d pay good money to get one of them nonetheless.

I’d love to get a female if posible, but i know thatyd be hard to do since the trait is new and good business says selling females means more babies for sale in the furure.
However I have no interest whatsoever in breeding so who knows...

Ohhhh.... Well one day if you do decide it wouldent be a bad idea not because of the money because of the nice pretty babys that will be produced! I think boas are a little easyer because no incubateing eggs!
Also you will have a marble or a paternless and you will have some awsome babys and get some decent money to add on to your collection or do what ever you please with it.

my yellow female is fast and nippy some times and about 6’ just be careful and dont let it around your neck she nearly broke my fingers one time cos their so strong. if your alone never let it around your neck no matter how much you trust it. their too strong. after you tame it their nice. just real fast idk if its just mine or all. but mines a speed demon

I let my female around my neck plenty, even when she hit the 7’ mark. It’s really all individual trust of the snake, knowledge of how to respond incase of an emergency, etc.

Rickyael makes a good point though in that you must proceed with caution when handling them! They are certainly fast, and to boot Anacondas are the only snake that are known to strike at 90 degree angles!

I have seen a 6fft male and a 8ft male but I dont think a male could get any bigger the 9ft as for the female I think they can get 12ft but usually get 8-10 and then sometimes 11 and 12
