75% would be too much, even 50/50 is A LOT of water.

It has been proven that condas dont even need a soak tub to be perfectly content, healthy and calm. As long as they have a water bowl and constant 55-70% humidity a pool/soak tub is not needed.

If you do have one however, keep it at 50/50. Just like Condas like hides, they do well in smaller soak tubs too. The water in the rivers/swamps they live in isnt exactly open and clear like a pool!

Not to mention you dont want your snakes getting water blisters.

Keep it at 50/50 at MOST, in my opinon

one more question, how do you heat tubs, like the ones off of reptiletubs.com, heat tape?

You can use heat tape or standard electric heating pads (like the kind designed for use on our backs) if the tub is on the thinner side

For a THICK pvc tub you can use a standard UTH

When I have to travel I keep my BPs in large Plastic Storage tubs like you can get from The Container Store or Target or K-Mart.

Then you just buy an Electric Back Heater or Blanket that has NO SHUTOFF TIMER.

If you use cloth bedding (a shirt or towel), and put in a water bowl and hide it works great.

Just make sure you WEIGHT DOWN THE TOP or strap it down, or seal it somehow lol!

Plus leave the temp/humidity guage in the tub to you have a reading. I actually think this is an ok idea because if the water spills at all (and it will!) the towel soaks it all up and the humidity rockets up to 60-70% no problem which is ideal for condas with no soak tub. The towel also doesnt get so wet as to cause problems on the underbelly.

If you use non-industrial heaters or just heat tape you should be ok! Let me know if you have any more questions.
