Where would i find a nice green baby

my boyfriend is really into snakes just as i am. he currently has a Burm. he has wanted a green anaconda for a while now and in about a month or so his new job and work sceduale will give him the extra time he needs to take on a new snake. i thought i would start looking for the best place to get one now just so we know where to look when we are ready. i figured this was a good place to ask around. what breeders etc. would you guys reccomend? we will be looking for a reasonably priced green anaconda baby that is healthy and feeding well. also we would prefer it to be somewhat tame when we get it. any ideas? thanks in advance.

Well Green Anacondas arent just you want and you can have they are a little more differnt!
You should do a little more research before buying...
Well right now its breeding season so theirs not too much supply you might wanna wait untill some people have some clutches then buy!
Some people I recomend is Ben Renick and Kelly Haller
You can visit Ben’s website on this link www.benrenick.com As for Kelly Haller you can find her on the kingsnake anaconda forum...
Send Ben an email he has great knowlage on greens and yellows also has care sheets on his websites under articles...
As for Kelly you can send her a PM on the kingsnake Forum...

dont worry, were not just going to jump in and buy one without knowing what we are doing. this is not a spur of the moment thing. he has wanted one for well over a year now. we have been doing a lot of research on them in the past 5 months or so. currently we have a few RTB’s and 2 burms. i mentioned his burm in the OP because its his pride and joy lol, but we have other snakes too. we also have a good friend with a large retic (shes 16’) so we have some experience with other large boids, although i know having an anaconda will be on a whole other level. i mentioned in the first post that it would be another month and a half before we would have the time to take on another snake and we want to be good and settled in our new home before we add a new member so it will be a good 2-3 months before we will be looking to buy one. like i said, i’m just trying to find out the best person to buy one from when the time is right. we will continue to research them in the meantime to make sure we know all that we can before we get one. thanks carpondro17 for the names you gave me, i will definately have to check them out. and if anyone else has any ideas please let me know.
thanks

The top 2 names I can come up with are Kelly Haller and Ben Rennick.

I suggest trolling around the Kingsnake forums for more information about Kelly. He is considered one of, if not the premire authority on greens in captivity and produces fantastic greens. He has several pictures, responses and threads of his own here >
http://forums.kingsnake.com/forum.php?catid=185

in fact here is his latest post regarding what he will be having soon >

Ben Rennick breeds no less quality snakes and is with Kelly at the top of the Conda Breeders ladder. His site is >
http://benrenick.com/

Ben is much more exploratory with morphs and has probably the nicest selection of yellow anacondas in the country, and a lovely variety of green morphs as well that appeal to many people (certainly myself as I am hoping to get a hold of a baby this summer as well and have annoyed him I’m sure with the amount of emails I’ve sent over the last 6-8 months).

Haller is more interested in perserving and breeding out the most classical looking, Ben likes to mix the colors. Its all about your budget and what aesthetically moves you. Good luck in your search!

Why buy from a website like that when you can contact top name breeders directly?

Thats like buying from Joe on Kingsnake when you could visit N.E.R.D or Prehistoric Pets directly (although, strictly in my opinion, Prehistoric Pets has a tendency to always charge the absolute highest acceptable price, or even overprice, for their snakes)

If you can contact Rennick or Haller via email or forums I would go that route.
