 Potting soil?

Do you think that potting soil or some kind of dirt would b a good sustrate? i was thinking on building a high cage and filling the bottom with a deep layer of dirt and putting a large water dish in there so it would b around ground level

if you wanna go natural just get some top soil from your local garden center, but I think cypress mulch would work so much better. It looks nice and is very mold resistant , which potting soil tends to do, as well as aspen, also dont use pine or cedar they are toxic.

 Potting soil?

I forgot to add that soil and dirt are usually really messy, which is why we use mulch intsead

I would never recommend potting soil due to the increased chances of ingestion, overall mess issues and sanitary questions.

Mulch is my suggestion if you must go all natural, but I really am a fan of paper towels myself.
