might be a dumb question but i was wondering if it matters if the hide is clear or not? will the snake be able to tell and not feel safe in it? i have a rock type hide and a container hide that i cut a hole into, its clear.

Different kinds of hides
I have a large hampster/gerbil/something hide for one of my snakes and I simply cover it with a shirt of mine to make it darker inside. Even when the shirt slips off, my snake has no problem curling up inside and catching some shut eye.
