 Feeding Issues

Greens seem to be very tempermental and reclusive..especially after being re-homed. If it still doesn’t eat after having a good month or so to settle in to it’s new home, I’d try some alternate feeders. I’ve had good luck with chicks, guinea pigs, and scenting rodents with goldfish. Good luck with it.

 Feeding Issues

Baby greens tend to hold out for fowl. Try baby chicks or week old quail. Chicks tend to trigger the feeding response best from my experience but week old prey is more developed.

If you can’t come across chicks or quail, you can offer cleaned chicken parts from the grocery store. This is also good for scenting rodents with while you are trying switch them over.

With ones that are extremely difficult to turn to rodents, you can even start by tying rodents to your birds or cleaned bird parts. Just make sure you use 100% cotton string. Nylon type strings and fishing line can cause serious problems in the digestive system.
