Been offered a green annie, never had one before!!!
I have kept Big burms and some retics. wanting to no the pros and cons of condas please, as i have never owned one. The viv for her when she hits big sizes is a 11 foot long by 4 foot deep by 4 foot tall. it is wasted space so i may aswell use it. can you tell me total rough cb size? as i have been told they only average out at 16-18 foot in captivity? cheers for the help and advice. |

If the poster above was talking about subtracting the risk of predators, parasites, and food shortage...they are right on. You could pump them up to large sizes quickly by keeping temps higher than they should be, and feeding drastically more than they would get in the wild. But this comes with great risks and certainly shorter life. Keeping a healthy steady weight and providing the cooler environment they need will give you the same sized anaconda in the long run, but you might have an animal you can enjoy for 30 years before you get to see it breaking those 20+ft marks. Congrats!!! |
