Got a snake told it was a ball python, I’m sure its a yellow anaconda

hey guys, First snake
first off i know alot of u are already hateing just keep it to urself not gonna help anybody
I’ve read the care sheets and just about everything relevent on the internet ill give u the history
I received the snake about a year and a half ago from an ex co worker he said his kid bought it but went to jail so he wanted to get rid of it. he said it was 9 months old and hadn’t ate in 2 months but had eaten live mice previously. i tried to feed it F/T medium size mouse he wouldn’t eat after about a month i caved and bought live mice he ate immidiatly then 2 over the next 2 weeks. went online read that i should try starving him he’ll eat F/T eventualy. Went 3 months caved bought a few mice gone after a month. continued this process until i got to 5 months without eating then he ate the F/T.
That was this morning when should i try to feed again? Are small rats appropriate? Hes about 5 feet.

He was about 2ft when i got him in a 20gal aquarium. My tank is 4ft, by 18in, by 20in with a 10 gal aqurium of water is that alright everything ive read says its fine just making sure.

From what i gathered u shouldn’t try to handle a live feed anaconda so ive only tried once when I first got him about 2.5 feet he was fine with me touching his back just moved slowly a little bit but once i grasped him he bit me. Will I ever be able to handle him if i get him on F/T rats? If so how should i go about starting the process before hes to strong? please keep in mind I don’t know if hes male or female, and i dont know for sure how old he is my guess is 2.5 years, hes about 5 ft, by 2in across, based on the previous owners he may have been messed with a fair bit.
Any help would be greatly apreciated
thanks will

There isnt really much for us to say and help with man. The main thing you talked to is feeding. you never even described the snake or have a picture for us to be even sure it is an anaconda. Giveus more detail about the problem and the snake andwe might be able to help you out bro

ummmmm................its probably a ball python............im pretty sure anacondas are born at least 3 ft. and after 2.5 years he would be much larger than 5 ft. and the rat thing? my 4.5 foot bp eats medium rats and your feeding your imaginary yellow anaconda mice?

If you do have an anaconda i’d suggest you get rid of it... I only say this because it seems like this is your first snake and condas are definitely not a starter snake.. You do realize that once it gets full size it could kill you... But if you have a ball then more power to ya... they are great starters...thats what i started with....... Also with the feeding you don’t need to buy chicks... Just get a baggie of the feathers and dip the rats head in it... that works awesome....... Post some pictures man... if you don’t know how just say and one of us could help you out

i know you didn’t want to hear us reem you but you almost left no choice. the snake sounds like a ball python to me and who just gets a snake not even knowing what it is?? also, you said your snake hadn’t eaten for 5 months at one point? why didn’t you go to the vet?? you should definitely post some pictures though
