 Oh no..!

my anoles have a nice tank to live in but a peice of wood got a lil moldy...i think so i wanted to pick up the objects in the tank so i could clean it up......but....my male anole keeps on climbing on the objects i try to take out and im scared because they are very fast and nervice all the time and im afraid he’ll get away! exsample- hes on the ground and i pit up the long stretchy wood stuff and he jumps on it!my mom told me not to pic them up soo i dont know wat 2 do ! god i dont wanna loose them so please....HELP! WAT SHOULD I DO!?

What color is the moldy stuff?
Another solution is to put in a different stick first and let them get used to it, then while they are attached to the other stick, as quietly and slowly as you can, take the other stick out, if the male persists to jump on the stick, you can softly push him off with your hand, but do it softly. or you can distract them with food, thats what I do. ^^

Take the wood out and either replace it or sterilize it by baking in the oven for about 30 minutes at 300 degrees.
