 Need unknown information.

Okay,I realize I’ve been posting this problem too many times,But I need an accurate answer. The questions I’ve been asking have been changing for other types of behavior they has been producing. What I need to identify is the female anole keeps head bobbing at the male and the male in response also head bobs and lowers the dewlap. The male will also do head bobs and expose the dewlap and the female will respond in a head bob.I recognized that this is mating behavior,but...........no action is being taken. They just look at each other. The male does not even try to mate though.I need help,I would like them to mate but there is this misunderstanding is this process.Thank you for your responses in advanced.

Go down to "Anole Mating Rituals" and read the initial post AND question and response.

Yes I realize that, the behavior has been changing though. Now they just look at each other. Not to involve you or anything, but you did say they go for the females who do not flee which would be my female. He does seem very interested in her, but no action is being taken, she sometimes him too.Maybe he isn’t interested or doesn’t want to take the effort as you said but I would like them to mate. What do you or anyone else think I should do.Should I wait until mating season or can I separate them for a while and put them back together again. Thanks for the responses

Reduce the "day" length to 8-10 hours and lower the nighttime temperature to 62-65 degrees for about 2-3 months. When you then raise the temperature and lengthen the "day" back to 12-14 hours, they will think it is spring and begin mating activity - its called brumation.
